Personal Testimonies

John Richardson, Group Manager and Baritone

I live in Rossville, Georgia with the love of my life, Betty.  I endeavor to live the mission of Willow Creek Quartet, which is to let our light shine and sing praise unto God, giving Him all the glory.  I want to see people ask Jesus into their heart.  Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." - Revelations 3:20 KJV

Please keep Willow Creek Quartet in your prayers as we, as a group, follow the mission to preach the Word in song.

David Austin, Lead Vocals

I have been in the music ministry for many years, most of which I spent as a bass guitar player in a local gospel group.

With God's leading, I began a solo music ministry and began singing locally.

The transition to harmony with a group has been a challenge, but one I am embracing with the love of God and my fellow group members.

David Lyons, Bass Vocals
Formerly of Damascus Road, I come from a background of choir and group singing.  I have been a member of Pine Grove Baptist for over 30 years.
Joseph Floyd, Tenor

Having not been raised in church, I cried out to God in desperation as a divorced young man who had been running with the wrong crowd.  I asked God to "please make a change in my life."

From that point forward, God seemed to guide me through other people.  I first noticed a big change in a coworker, and I knew if God could change him, he could change me, too.  He shared the Gospel with me, and I began to attend church with him.

Soon afterwards, I met Jennifer, a wonderful Christian woman with two children I adore.  God lead us to a new church, Circle of Faith Christian Fellowship, and we soon moved to be closer to our new church home.

My wife told our pastor that I have a passion to sing.  I prayed Philippians 4:13 to have the courage to try.

From that point forward, I was lead to sing for the glory of God.

On September 7, 2010 at an all day singing at the Stevenson Park in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, Brother John Richardson asked if I may be interested in singing in a quartet.  Our first singing was in October of that year, and I have been with them since, singing praises to the Lord and enjoying the fellowship of my brothers.  My life has been a reflection of Romans 8:28, that all things work together for the good of those who love God.  I do, and I am thankful for Him.  God bless you!
